El griego Giannis Antetokounmpo (Este) y el serbio Nikola Jokic (Oeste) lideran la lista de jugadores seleccionados para el ‘All-Star’ de la NBA 2026, que se jugará en Los Ángeles del 13 al 15 de febrero, informa la liga este lunes.

Además de Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), los seleccionados en el Este fueron Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers) y Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics).

En el Oeste, acompañarán a Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Luka Doncic (Los Angeles Lakers), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) y Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs).

Estos son los primeros 10 seleccionados (los ‘starters’) por la afición (50 %), jugadores (25 %) y periodistas (25 %) para un All-Star que estrena nuevo formato y que por primera vez no enfrentará al Este contra el Oeste.

Una vez se complete la lista de seleccionados para el ‘All-Star’, estos se distribuirán en dos equipos de Estados Unidos y uno de Mundo que disputarán un minitorneo de formato ‘round robin’ antes de una final entre los dos mejores.

Para Curry, será su ‘All-Star’ número 12, más que ninguno de los otros jugadores anunciados este lunes. Le siguen Antetokounmpo con 10 participaciones y Jokic con 8.
LeBron James quedó por fuera del primer grupo de seleccionados tras 21 ediciones consecutivas.
El All-Star tendrá lugar en el Intuit Dome de Inglewood, el hogar de los Clippers y el pabellón más moderno de la liga, inaugurado en la temporada 2024-25.
